KURAKAGEI
Kurakagei was looking for a comprehensive branded content package. For this project, we looked to maximize the amount of postable content within the limits of a single production. In this package, we created a 50 second advertisement, multiple social cut-downs, and a photo set that included lifestyle and product photos. All of this put together gave Kurakagei a full arsenal of consistently branded content that they can post for months.
Kurakagei’s jewelry is inspired by anime, which we incorporated into the way the advertisement was shot, decorated and edited. The inspiration was the setting of Neo-Tokyo, as portrayed in the film, Akira.
We gave each product a corresponding character - the Challenger (the head of Anubis), and the King (the head of an ape), and gave them personalities for consumers to identify with. Kurakagei’s brand encompasses the “underdog mentality,” and it was important that we included that with the premise of the ad.
